Clients Across the Board Praise Resmark Systems’ WaiverSign

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Mar. 11, 2019 –Officially Mardi Gras fell this year in March. Down in Huntsville, TX, General Sam’s Offroad Park hosted Muddy Gras Feb. 14-18.

Visitors rented RV space and cabins for the weekend and they played in their ATVs, trucks and jeeps on 60-plus-miles of off-road riding trails through 706 forested acres spliced by six spring-fed creeks and a deep-water pond. But first they had to sign a digital liability waiver.

In the last quarter of 2018, this playground signed up for WaiverSign’s digital technology that saw a 10-fold increase in overall use last year, over 2017. WaiverSign is a product of Resmark Systems based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rocky Mount Event Center joined the WaiverSign family last October. This is a 165,000-square-footsports tourism, events and entertainment destination in Rocky Mount, NC. Danielle Hennessy is Events & Game Day Manager for the center run by Sports Facilities Management. She sourced WaiverSign on an internet search.

“Support and staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining how WaiverSign works. It was also the least expensive for our needs. We’re not a huge company,” she says. “WaiverSign gets across a lot of information and at the same time gathers a lot of information helpful to our marketing outreach.” The 30-person staff that are now freed up assure that some 100,000 visitors annually have a good time when they come to party, dance, cheerlead and play basketball and volleyball, among other activities.

Chad Mack heads up Mack Marketing and Public Relations in Seattle. Diverse activities and events staged on Pacific Northwest sports fields are key to delivering successes to his clients that include professional sports teams. Annually his staff gathers together Pacific Northwest businesses for soccer and networking at the Portland Timbers Community Cup. This event raises thousands of dollars for Portland YouthBuilders. This non-profit organization provides long-term support for over 200 low-income youth ages 17 to 24 through education, vocational training and leadership development services.

“Before we stumbled on WaiverSign, we struggled for years collecting signed waivers prior to playing on the field. This required a lot of manpower from the organizer and the players themselves. It’s a huge win. Now captains can even manage their own team waivers. I’m a huge fan,” underscores Mack.

PARSAC is short for Public Agency Risk Sharing Authority of California that administers waivers for 40 cities in this state. Think recreation center waivers for swimming, baseball, football, horseback riding, gym and gymnastics, etc. for both adults and kids. The Town of Yountville will be the first community to launch WaiverSign after the January 2019 sign-up.

What’s leading to this flurry of interest in WaiverSign?

In the nearly two decades since the Federal eSIGN act was passed into law in June 2000, companies have become comfortable with digital technology. Today they’re reaching out to see how this technology can help them grow.

“The travel industry is internet savvy. Now the recreation industry is beginning to see the benefits of presenting waivers digitally rather than on paper,” says Chip Broyles. He is Business Development Manager for Resmark Systems (www.resmarksystems.com/).

The benefits of going digital include immediate document retrieval, redundant and secure storage opportunities plus increased document integrity. Digital signature collection also means that companies can gather much more usable data simply because that data is readily accessible and typed and legible -- not hand-written.

Using any web-enabled mobile device, parents or legal guardians can immediately sign digital waivers in English or Spanish for their children engaging in youth activities. An Event Management feature communicates to the event organizer and provides easy access to a printable list of names for managing event participants. It can identify and locate groups of people who signed a particular waiver or set of waivers for a certain activity on a specific day.

Lawyers like the fact that through a digital program people have access to documents they can read carefully and sign before they arrive at an activity destination so there’s no last-minute signing situation. The signed document is also delivered with the signer’s email address. The old paper waivers didn’t do that.

“WaiverSign offers a clean, solid product that customers appreciate when comparing other options. Add in simple, straight-forward pricing, mix that with a support team that works directly one-on-one with customers. You have a recipe designed to grow WaiverSign's client base at a pace we've not seen in years past, Broyles adds. "We fully expect this growth trend to continue. It's been a wonderful couple of years.”
