Dear Friends,
Moab Adventure Center has been the go-to hub for fun things in Moab ever since we opened our doors over two decades ago.
We were not quite sure what the 2021 season would hold for us. With the pandemic still affecting much of the travel industry, would Moab be the recreational draw that it has been in the past? The 2020 season was at best a draw. But the pre-pandemic year, 2019, was our best ever.
As the current season is nearing its close, we have been surprised by the extraordinary increase in bookings this year. Year-to-date bookings for 2021 have grown 34 percent over a record 2019!
People want what Moab offers. With Arches and Canyonlands National Parks right on Moab’s doorstep and the Colorado River a stone’s skip away, dawn-to-dusk adventures run the gamut. From horseback riding, to zip lining, to river rafting, Moab Adventure Center now offers nearly 30 different adventures. Unique shopping and dining experiences add to the memories. And accommodations from hotels to oversized glamping tents overlooking Arches National Park give visitors a wide array of overnight options. With so much to do in often limited time, our guests looked to the most professional hands possible to maximize the hours or days they spent here.
Gladly adhering to our pandemic protocols, our visitors literally kept the Moab Adventure Center staff on its toes, with increases, among many others, of 41 percent on our most popular day rafting trip, the Colorado River Full Day Trip. On our most popular overnight family rafting trip, the Green River through Desolation Canyon, business was up 27 percent!
The largest increases for trips other than rafting included zip lining that grew an astonishing161 percent over 2019 and the Arches National Park Sunset Discovery, a beautiful experience in one of our nation’s most astonishing national parks, which grew 83 percent.
Many of our activities can be booked through October and into early November. So, we are still inviting travelers to come and enjoy the cooler temperatures, the golden cottonwoods along the Colorado River and the breathtaking forests surrounding the La Sal Mountains. As for the pandemic…. We love to boast fresh air, wide-open spaces, and our team of tireless pros.
Let me know how we can work together!
