Moab Adventure Center Introduces New Scenic Air Tour Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon National Parks

Moab Adventure Center, the go-to for all things adventurous in the Red Rock playground of Moab, Utah, is excitedto announce a brand newflyover of one of Earth’s most intriguing geological displays of an ancient past.

The 2.5-hour flyover reveals the drama of how Earth played her cards for posterity in three distinct, publicly acclaimed regions: Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, andGrand Staircase Escalante National Monument.  Please see  https://www.moabadventurecenter.com/bryce-canyon-air-tour

Scenic flight pilots, known as “Air Guides,” point out the very best views the landscape can offer:

  • Bryce Canyon, an incredible scenic spectacle. The park is a vast showcase of colorful rock pinnacles and spires, known as “hoodoos,” which rise from a series of natural amphitheaters stretching across the Paunsaugunt Plateau. The view of these hoodoos, which are seemingly every shape and size, is breathtaking for all visitors, no matter if it is their first or 100th time in the park. Many formations bear fanciful names such as “The Poodle,” “Queen Victoria” and the park’s most notable hoodoo, “Thor’s Hammer.”
  • Capitol Reef National Park, a hidden treasure filled with cliffs, canyons, domes and bridges in the Waterpocket Fold, a geologic monocline (a wrinkle on the earth) 65 million years old that extends almost 100 miles long and six miles wide.
  • The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, a series of plateaus that descend from Bryce Canyon south toward the Grand Canyon, marked by vertical drops at the Pink Cliffs, Grey Cliffs, White Cliffs, Vermillion Cliffs and Chocolate Cliffs. This area boasts a mixture of colorful sandstone cliffs soaring above narrow slot canyons, picturesque washes and seemingly endless slickrock, prehistoric village sites and abandoned old Western movie sets.

The per-person rates are adult (13+) $349 and youth (3-12) $175. There is no charge for ages 2 and under. Guests are guaranteed a window seat and flight headset during the tour.  The flight that departs year-round from Canyonlands Field Airport in Moab encompasses 337 miles at an average speed of 150 miles per hour.
