Online Liability Waiver Software Seeing Record Sign-on Spike in Time of COVID-19 Pandemic

SALT LAKE CITY, June 23, 2020 – Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

“I am,” says Disney World, as do beauty salons and fitness centers and even the New York Stock Exchange.

Just who is the Big Bad Wolf?

Collectively these are clients and customers who may be inclined to sue by alleging they contracted COVID-19 on the premises of businesses they patronize.

The result is that to indulge in retail therapy, dine out, sweat in a gym or squeal on an amusement park ride, you may be asked to sign on the dotted line. And if you choose not to sign, you may not be able to get through the door.

These aren’t signatures on credit cards, rather on legal documents called waivers.

Waivers are long associated with such high-risk pursuits as sky diving and bungee jumping. But as reported in Money, June 9, “As Americans return to their favorite gyms, salons and restaurants, waivers will be part and parcel of the experience …”

Employees may also be asked to sign waivers, noted The Philadelphia Inquirer in a June 8 article suggesting that contracting COVID-19 on the job may fall into the category of an occupational disease, thus making employers liable.

By requiring signed waivers, businesses are not asking customers and staff, in Dante’s words, to “abandon hope, all ye who enter here”. Rather they want these participants to commit by signature their understanding that this pandemic puts at risk all who choose to enter a locale. By acknowledging in advance the risks, the participant assumes responsibility for a decision to partake; and businesses adhering to disease-mitigation protocols may steer clear of liability for illness-related claims.

In fact, the word “waiver” now seems to be entering the pandemic lexicon of masks, hand washing and social distancing.

From May 1 to mid-June, 2020, one software company has seen a massive spike in signups for its digital liability waiver application services. WaiverSign was up 169% over the same period in 2019. Already in June, signups are more than twice what they were on the same date in May.

Fortunately, having facilitated the signing and storage of hundreds of thousands of waivers for major college basketball events, the San Francisco 49ers, YMCA, and other large organizations, WaiverSign was prepared for the volume increase.

“A lot of changes are happening. In addition to creating and implementing solid COVID-19 mitigation and operations plans, companies are adding the risks of COVID-19 and other illnesses to their liability waivers,” said Brandon Lake, CEO of WaiverSign headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. “And part of those mitigation plans for nearly every company is to allow their patrons to sign waivers digitally - on their own devices.”

However, minimizing the passing of pens and paper isn’t the only benefit to online waivers. The WaiverSign platform provides an Event Management feature that is turning the heads of many event organizers for other reasons. This event management featurecan identify and locate groups of people who signed a particular waiver or set of waivers for a certain activity on a specific day.

Chun Wright of the Law Office of Chun T. Wright in Washington, DC, said that wording around privacy notices and consent could be written into waivers that would allow event lists to serve as a contact tracers.

“Potentially this tool could give event managers and anyone who operates a business the ability to notify attendees who have been in contact with anyone at the event or on the premises who has tested positive,” she said.

“Ensuring that companies and event organizers have a plan to collect all participant information so that they can communicate with them is an essential part of any COVID mitigation plan - not only for contact tracing, but also to communicate with attendees regarding other critical information,” noted Lake. Helping people feel comfortable while attending an event will be a marketing concern moving forward. WaiverSign’s event management feature is already an excellent tool to convey up-to-date COVID-19 information including social distancing reminders and other crowd-driven protocols.

WaiverSign Announces Record Sales as Businesses Prepare to Reopen with New Methods of Liability Waiver Collection

SALT LAKE CITY, May 5, 2020 – Handshakes, hugs and sharing pens and pencils may become things of the past. Physical contact with anyone or anything can now set off alarm bells.

COVID-19 is changing the world of customer relations, from contactless point-of-sale purchases to online ordering. WaiverSign, a digital liability waiver application, is helping companies get liability waivers signed electronically, eliminating the need to pass pens, paper, clipboards and keypads back and forth.

As officials like to say, “statistics don’t lie.” New sales figures are up 121% in April 2020 compared to April 2019, say officials from WaiverSign.

“Utilizing WaiverSign is yet another tool for companies preparing to welcome patrons as virus-driven lockdowns begin to lift,” said Brandon Lake, CEO of Resmark Systems and WaiverSign. “In addition to getting waivers signed without the use of paper and pens, many companies are now seeing the myriad of other benefits that come with collecting and storing liability waivers online.”

WaiverSign, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, also anticipates signing on new clients who choose to augment and fine-tune their risk management plans by implementing waivers and related documents to ensure that participants understand and accept the inherent risks of COVID-19 and other illnesses.

On April 22, WaiverSign hosted a free webinar addressing liability considerations and waivers during coronavirus recovery. Its audience were players in the arenas of recreation, fitness, tours and activities. From yoga studios and gyms to zip line companies and whitewater rafting outfitters, WaiverSign’s growing portfolio of clients are asking what is their liability if someone contracts the virus as a result of participating in an event or activity that they have hosted.

“In addition to creating and implementing solid COVID-19 mitigation and operations plans, many of our clients are considering adding the risks of COVID-19 and other illnesses to their liability waivers,” said Lake.

This is a good time for companies to revisit the liability waiver and release form documents they require customers to sign before participating in activities, advised the webinar panelists, both attorneys specializing in recreation.

Chun Wright, Law Office of Chun T. Wright in Washington, DC, said waivers are going to be “front and center” in the next few weeks as companies begin to get back into business. Why? Because waivers can help reduce liability and ultimate financial loss that may occur if a guest is injured, or in the case of COVID-19, becomes ill on a company’s watch.

A signed waiver indicates that a customer had advance warning of the risks of participating. This signed waiver is a communications tool that shows assumption of risk and that somebody released the company from the right to sue. It also can be a screening process, eliminating someone who may not be comfortable currently participating in such activities as axe-throwing, rock climbing or guided kayaking.

The webinar also addressed the need to mitigate the possible risks facing a guest and how to limit liability exposure by defining and implementing a solid operations plan. Protocols, screening, training and communication are all vital elements, as suggested by panelist Leah Corrigan, founder of the Recreation Law Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

In addition to how to protect businesses and guests when a company reopens, the webinar also explored workplace obligations and considerations as they relate to employees.

You can watch the entire recorded webinar here:

Since signing on the first WaiverSign customers, the range of companies has expanded beyond tours and activities to include spas, festival vendors, resort activity centers, tanning salons and more. Millions of people seeking unique experiencesfrom around the world have used WaiverSign before participating in high-adventure activities like zip lining across a canyon or rafting through rapids in the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Flagstaff Snow Park Announces Successful Integration with Resmark and WaiverSign to Manage Bookings and Handle Liability Waivers

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Feb 5, 2020 – One of the snowiest cities in the West is Flagstaff, Arizona. In this urban center alone are over 72,000 people looking for inexpensive ways to enjoy winter.

Jonathan Allen created Flagstaff Snow Park in 2016 to address this need. He estimates in the winter of 2019/2020 that up to 70,000 people will purchase tickets for a tube and sliding space on a slope.

“We’re at a 7,000-foot elevation at the edge of a reliable snow line. For around 10 weeks people flock from Phoenix and all around the desert to fly down our hills, to warm their feet above our open fire pits, to roast marshmallows and even build snowmen. The main thing is that families are playing outside together,” underscores Allen.

Rolling 70,000 people through traditional onsite ticket windows could crush an operation that runs only from mid-December to early March. Allen calculates that onsite staffing needs would be enormous and customer satisfaction challenged by long waits in lines to purchase tickets.

Thanks to technology there’s an easy solution that Allen began implementing in November 2019. Customers can reserve tickets for tubes and slope space digitally from two to five days in advance of arrival. Since mid-December 2019 through early January, upwards of 42,000 clients have used Resmark Systems’ online booking system for tubing reservations.

When clients reach Flagstaff Snow Park, there are service windows for these pre-purchased tickets. At the end of December, the operation installed three kiosks that assist the ticket flow. Those without reservations purchase their tickets at other windows, perhaps running the risk of being turned away if the Park’s occupancy has reached its limit for the day.

This system, notes Allen, works “really smoothly.” Information on pre-purchase tickets is held at specific windows for speedy processing.  Even on busiest days there are never more than 10 to 15 in a pre-purchase line at a time. This system, which works especially well for groups who have pre-purchased, eliminates the one-time lines of 50 or more people waiting to check in.

Allen envisions a near future with two or three kiosks that allow on-site self-check ins for pre-reserved tickets.

All tickets, reserved or not, come with a liability waiver. At the time the reservation is made, people booking online through Resmark are reminded to fill out a digital waiver, thanks to an integrated electronic waiver system called WaiverSign.

“This is really beneficial because Resmark can track who has and who has not completed their waivers,” notes Allen. He is hoping in the near future to add a QR code that will link customers’ handheld devices to the waiver signing website.

Those making purchases at a ticket window must also fill out liability waivers through WaiverSign. This digital process eliminates old-fashioned paper liability waivers.

RESMARK Systems Recognized As One of the 20 Most Promising Travel & Hospitality Tech Solution Providers of 2019

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Dec. 4, 2019 – A leading technology magazine, CIOReview, has singled out RESMARK Systems in its annual selection of 20 travel and hospitality companies at the forefront of transforming this industry by capitalizing on the ongoing digital revolution to provide technology solutions.

The magazine’s review recognizes RESMARK Systems and other companies for creating ground-breaking solutions to improve efficiencies in the travel and hospitality industry. In a rapidly evolving market-place, particularly for tours and activities, selecting the right booking and customer service solution becomes key to the success of any tour business.

The Nov. 6, 2019, issue ofCIOReview reports that “RESMARK delivers a comprehensive, fully-integrated tour booking suite, including TrueConnect that enhances the business operations of tour, activity and event providers.”

Citing a specific example of success from a user of the new tour booking and reservation system, the article states that one RESMARK client is now selling twice as many scenic flights and nearly five times the number of zip line tours. In addition, the article also explains that local resellers such as hotels can now access real-time inventory via a free RESMARK account. Overall, these tools in the new platform have helped this company increase year-to-date sales by 20 percent.

Citing convenience and personalization as the driving forces, the magazine notes that “the industry has new definitions for business process execution, customer engagement and experience, and the whole idea of running a business. In today’s digitally driven world, travel and hospitality companies and agents have to adopt a digital mindset. They need to focus on visibility and transparency in conducting their operations. As travelers demand greater flexibility and experience throughout their travel journey, from the booking till the end of the trip, the travel companies cannot afford to focus just on revenue anymore.”

“We are very excited and humbled to receive this recognition. We have an incredible team of amazing individuals who have worked tirelessly to make the new RESMARK platform a reality,” states Brandon Lake, Founder and CEO.

CIOReview’s Summary

The traditional ways of selling tours and activities is inefficient and counter intuitive given today’s technological resources. The TrueConnect platform combines a tightly integrated suite of online booking tools, an in-house reservation system, a marketing automation platform, lead generation and lead nurturing tools, and on-line liability waivers. This game changer, says the magazine, “allows tour and activity operators to sell inventory in a new and powerful way. By connecting inventory between suppliers and resellers through this revolutionary approach, resellers can not only sell a supplier’s products for a net rate or commission, but also customize each supplier connection, product mix, and even product details and pricing. Resellers are also entitled to create their own network and customize their tour mix perfectly to their target customers.”

RESMARK Systems’ solution renders several modifiable elements throughout the sales process. This includes inventory settings, user-defined payment requirements, personalized labels, data collection fields, customizable reports, unlimited lead forms, and custom document templates. With such an adaptable value proposition in the arsenal, RESMARK enables their customers to be flexible towards the complex needs of its users. Additionally, users can customize the entire booking process through the RESMARK API to create online booking flows or allow integration with other systems.

“We’re just beginning to tap into the potential of this new platform. We have never had this level of connectivity and customization available to us. TrueConnect opens up doors for sales that just didn't exist before,” says Lake.

Resmark Systems Helps Zipline Company in Caribbean Get Back on Its Feet after Hurricanes

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Sept. 18, 2019 – In early September 2019, the following announcement of a job opportunity opened up in the Caribbean:

“Tree Limin' Extreme, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Zipline Guide at its park as well as an Office Manager located on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.”

This is good news for the island’s economy and for adventurous visitors who are returning to St. Thomas in the wake of now-historic hurricanes that pounded the island in 2017.

Two years have passed since two category five storms attacked St. Thomas back to back.

Although the zip lines themselves were not damaged, 98 percent of the island’s infrastructure was, leaving tourist numbers dangling, said Julie Eaton Bryan.  She, along with her husbandMarc Bryan, opened Tree ‘Limin Extreme in 2012, and became the first zipline company in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  At the time of the 2017 hurricanes, the company was serving close to 20,000 guests annually, and operating with a staff of 25 employees.  The ziplines became operational again in November of 2018.

Bryan said that visitors to the island are a welcome sign of the island’s recovery, which still has a few years to go.

In island culture, limin’ means to hang out. And this is what guests can do on their 400-square-foot platforms between ziplines. This exhilarating course was designed by a world-renowned contractor, Bradd Morse of Canopy Consulting Inc. (https://www.canopytourdesign.com/about-us/).  Situated high in the rainforest of St. Peter Mountain, guests experiencebreathtaking views of Magen’s Bay, Jost van Dyke, Tortola and beyond. The park encompasses six ziplines, two sky bridges and acres of jungle. Guides are on hand to assuage fears and to give names to the diverse flora and fauna over which guests soar.

Its mission statement says: “It is the mission of Tree Limin’ Extreme to develop & maintain an outstanding reputation in the Virgin Islands and the eco-tour industry with the highest regard for safety and impeccable customer service.” As such the Bryans are active in the Association for Challenging Course Technology. Their guides are extensively trained and are First Aid Certified and trained in CPR.

Canopy Consulting Inc. also referred them to Resmark Systems, the Utah-based company that provides online booking and reservation software. Resmark also offers WaiverSign, a technology that enables businesses to effortlessly obtain signatureson digital release of liability waivers from clients.

Bryan estimates that between Resmark’s online booking system along with the use of WaiverSign, she is freeing up at least three members of her staff to focus their efforts on customer service -- rather than on technical paperwork issues. WaiverSign calculates that a company that processes 8,000 waivers annually will save more than $5,000 from the cost of handling paper waivers when it comes to time, labor, tracking and materials.

“We were number 1 on Trip Advisor for some five years running until we had to close the park and no reviews were coming in. Our goal is to bounce back to number 1 and we need our talented staff to help us achieve this,” she said.

Canine Training, Trout Fishing and River Tubing Now Have Something in Common: WaiverSign

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Aug. 21, 2019 –WaiverSign, a leading online liability waiver solution, removes the headache of collecting paper liability waivers for participants. Three highly diverse clients have just signed on.

Two of these companies provide water-based adventures centered around trout fishing or river tubing, while the third client trains dogs. Each wanted to step up internal efficiencies and customer experiences by shifting to an electronic waiver solution with WaiverSign. As a result, customers are able to sign waivers digitally on electronic devices rather than paper waivers that then have to be sorted, filed and stored.

In Colorado, Jeff Kagan has helped spearhead Tube to Work Day that after 12 years has become a Boulder tradition. This is an aquatic inner-tube commute down Boulder Creek that this year drew more than 1,200 thrill seekers in helmets and some in full-office garb. Event sponsors raise money to assist Boulder’s homeless population.

“WaiverSign worked beautifully for our event. It allowed our participants to register in less than a minute with fun graphics and easily customized forms to gather only the data we need, noted organizer Jeff Kagan. “Furthermore, the customer service was fast and personal. Kate and Colleen from the WaiverSign office answered all of my questions within one business day and got our waiver live the very next day. As an event organizer in need of swift support, WaiverSign’s customer care made all the difference!" Because this is a non-profit, Resmark Systems assisted the cause by providing a 20 percent discount on billing for the event host.

Crystal Ranch Lodge & Resort is a 500-acre fly-fishing destination in western Utah. Here guests cast their hearts away on three miles of prime fly-fishing over two private, trout-packed streams. But this happens only after they’ve signed liability waivers.

“WaiverSign makes gathering and collecting the waivers needed so much easier for us and our clients. One of the biggest benefits we didn't expect was the fact that we now collect emails from every client who signs an online waiver. We always send out an email after each trip asking for feedback or a review. Now that we have emails for every member, we get several reviews where we used to only get one or two. Our email marketing list is growing much faster as well which is worth the cost of our WaiverSign subscription on its own,” said Lane Nygren, Marketing Director.

Before implementing WaiverSign, group organizers visiting Crystal Ranch with their group were in charge of emailing to each group member PDF waivers that had to be printed, signed, scanned and emailed back to the lodge.

“The process was cumbersome for everyone and particularly painful for us since we had no way of easily tracking and following up with each client,” Nygren added.

Another new client acquired by WaiverSign includes two dog psychology centers run by the dog whisperer, Cesar Millan. The centers are located in southern California and Florida. However, before any “whispering” begins, people connected with visiting canines are asked to sign waivers.

"The Dog Psychology Center and Training Cesar’s Way are new to waiversign.com, but the experience has been exceptional so far,” underscored Kim Glass, Director of Training and Operations. “Customer service was quick to respond to my questions and requests. The team built our waiver site overnight and had us up and running in just over a day. Being paperless and having each event digitally categorized for searches is a relief -- no more paper filing. Emailing the signed copy back to our students who have traveled from all over the world is an added bonus. We look forward to having a long-lasting relationship with WaiverSign."

In the nearly two decades since the Federal eSIGN act was passed into law (June 2000), companies have become comfortable with digital technology. Today they’re reaching out to see how this technology can help them grow.

“The travel industry is internet savvy. Now other industries, including recreation, are beginning to see the benefits of presenting waivers digitally rather than on paper,” says Kate Tucker, Business Development Manager for WaiverSign.

The benefits of going digital include immediate document retrieval, redundant and secure storage opportunities plus increased document integrity. Digital signature collection also means that companies can gather much more usable data simply because that data is readily accessible and typed and legible -- not hand-written.

Using virtually any web-enabled mobile device, parents or legal guardians can immediately sign digital waivers in English, Spanish, or French for their children engaging in youth activities. An Event Management feature communicates to the event organizer and provides easy access to a printable list of names for managing event participants. It can identify and locate groups of people who signed a particular waiver or set of waivers for a certain activity on a specific day.

Lawyers like the fact that through a digital program people have access to documents they can read carefully and sign before they arrive at an activity destination so there’s no last-minute signing situation. The signed document is also delivered with the signer’s email address. Old paper waivers didn’t do that.

“WaiverSign offers a clean, solid product that customers appreciate when comparing other options. Add in simple, straight-forward digital waiver pricing, mix that with a support team that works directly one-on-one with customers, and it’s easy to see why WaiverSign is being adopted so quickly by so many different types of companies. We have a recipe designed to grow WaiverSign's client base at a pace we've not seen in years past,” Tucker adds. "We fully expect this growth trend to continue. It's been a wonderful couple of years.”

Beyond the Telephone - Activity Reservations Made Easy With RESMARK’S TrueConnect

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 31, 2019 – The potential for tourism attractions, activity and event companies to grow their reservations through off-site subcontractors and purveyors just grew exponentially.

Why? Because third parties can now see – and book -- real-time inventory for everything from rafting trips on the Colorado River to scenic fight-seeing and zip line tours.

This is thanks to RESMARK Systems’ new channel management and marketplace platform called RESMARK TrueConnect that was launched in early 2019.

For decades tour companies have collaborated with hotel concierges, travel agents, online travel websites, activity desks and even other tour companies to sell their services. This has always been an arduously slow process of phone calls to check availability, emails or calls to make and confirm bookings and more phone calls to keep all the changes up to date. Now, thanks to RESMARK TrueConnect, this process has completely changed.

“The proof is in the pudding. We know that TrueConnect helps expand reservations because we’ve seen it work first hand” said Brandon Lake, Vice President. Earlier this year this platform was tested at Moab Adventure Center in Moab, Utah. Moab Adventure Center now fully utilizes RESMARK Systems' new TrueConnect platform to connect with local suppliers and hotels throughout Moab. As a result, sales growth of tours and activities has been unprecedented.

Sharing real-time inventory of activities with resellers means more spaces filled, with less friction and drama. Whether a client sells day tours that book at the last minute or multi-day adventures that sell months in advance, RESMARK’s new TrueConnect platform allows one to work seamlessly with resellers such as travel agents and local hotels as well as other related businesses.

“We’re just beginning to tap into the potential of this new online booking software. We have never had this level of connectivity and customization available to us. TrueConnect opens up doors for sales that just didn't exist before,” Lake added.

Lake explained that over the years Moab Adventure Center has developed relationships with some of the best tour companies in Moab for such experiences as zip lining, horseback riding and scenic flights. As demand for activities here has grown, the efforts to coordinate communications back and forth between local hotels and tour companies to check availability have also grown. “The number of phone calls back and forth to check availability, update reservations, and keep everything in sync became incredibly cumbersome,” explained Lake.

In 2019 this all changed. Moab Adventure Center can now sell tours of other Moab businesses that use RESMARK much more easily. Resellers all over Moab have a free RESMARK account that allows them to tap directly into their own inventory of activities and tours and make reservations as if they were simply an extension of Moab Adventure Center. The payback is that they can earn a commission in doing so.

“Reducing the friction in these sales has resulted in tremendous growth,” Lake said. “For example, because the local zip line operator also uses RESMARK, we now tap into their inventory through TrueConnect. We’ve sold almost four times as many tours as last year.  We’ve also sold nearly twice as many scenic flights through another local supplier using the online system.”

“RESMARK TrueConnect allows tour resellers to create their own network, tailoring their tour mix perfectly to their target customers within their unique region. It's like becoming the Amazon of travel for any given part of the world,” Lake added.

WaiverSign Takes on College Sports Championships

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, June 20, 2019 –The game was on. The jury was out. This was the real thing. This type of volume had been simulated, but this was now the real world.

Would the newly launched online waiver software, WaiverSign, handle the volume of upwards of 4,000 sports fans signing digital liability waivers almost simultaneously?

Yes! It would. By the end of the weekend, more than 50,000 participants had signed a digital waiver using either the onsite kiosks provided, or via their personal Android or iOS devices.

“WaiverSign is proud to announce the small part they played in the excitement that surrounded the men’s college basketball championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota, earlier this spring,” said Chip Broyles, WaiverSign VP of Business Development and Operations. He was onsite in Minneapolis and monitoring the action.

At one point on the Saturday of the two semi-final games, 4,000 guests signed waivers within 15 minutes. WaiverSign development teams were prepared for the high volume and were standing by at a moment’s notice to react to changing needs if necessary.

“I must admit, at any given time, there can be hundreds, if not thousands of participants going through WaiverSign processes with any number of businesses somewhere in the country. But this was admittedly the first time we had a single client processing that kind of volume all at one time. It was exciting, and a bit nerve racking. But I needn’t have worried. The whole event was a huge success,” Broyles concluded.

In March college hoops fans from around the country descended on US Bank Stadium to cheer on the Michigan State Spartans, Texas Tech Raiders, Auburn Tigers, and the Virginia Cavaliers. Throughout the championship weekend, fan-centered events were held at the Minneapolis Convention Center, about a mile and a half away from the tournament.

Spectators at sporting events don’t always have to sign waivers. In this case, free for all who had a ticket to the big games, or just $10 per person otherwise, the festival activities included scores of interactive events designed to get people hands-on experience with college sports. From batting cages to augmented reality basketball skills, these events excite the public and get everyone geared up for the big games.

“Those who wanted to join in the fun were asked to sign waivers. That’s where WaiverSign came in,” explained Broyles.

Prior to participation in any of the hands-on activities, a Release of Liability waiver must be signed on behalf of each participant. A representative with the company in charge of the activities explained: “We had previously used another white-label waiver signing solution to process participants at the fan events we sponsor throughout the year. We ended up looking for a new vendor that could provide additional functionality, as well as one that fit our budget appropriately. WaiverSign became the obvious choice for us rather quickly.”

“These events are quite popular, as it’s a family friendly environment full of exciting hands-on activities, sponsored giveaways, games and events,” he continues. “Celebrities from the world of college and professional basketball and broadcast sports show up on site for everything from 3-on-3 matchups to autograph signing and handshaking. Kids as well as adults love it!”

“We’re pleased that the professional sports industry is now enjoying the benefits of presenting waivers digitally rather than on paper,” said Broyles. The benefits of going digital include immediate document retrieval, redundant and secure storage opportunities plus increased document integrity. Digital signature collection also means that companies can gather much more usable data simply because that data is readily accessible and typed and legible -- not hand-written.

Using any web-enabled mobile device, parents or legal guardians can immediately sign digital waivers in English or Spanish for their children engaging in youth activities. Clients Across the Board Praise Resmark Systems’ WaiverSign

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Mar. 11, 2019 –Officially Mardi Gras fell this year in March. Down in Huntsville, TX, General Sam’s Offroad Park hosted Muddy Gras Feb. 14-18.

Visitors rented RV space and cabins for the weekend and they played in their ATVs, trucks and jeeps on 60-plus-miles of off-road riding trails through 706 forested acres spliced by six spring-fed creeks and a deep-water pond. But first they had to sign a digital liability waiver.

In the last quarter of 2018, this playground signed up for WaiverSign’s digital technology that saw a 10-fold increase in overall use last year, over 2017. WaiverSign is a product of Resmark Systems based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rocky Mount Event Center joined the WaiverSign family last October. This is a 165,000-square-footsports tourism, events and entertainment destination in Rocky Mount, NC. Danielle Hennessy is Events & Game Day Manager for the center run by Sports Facilities Management. She sourced WaiverSign on an internet search.

“Support and staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining how WaiverSign works. It was also the least expensive for our needs. We’re not a huge company,” she says. “WaiverSign gets across a lot of information and at the same time gathers a lot of information helpful to our marketing outreach.” The 30-person staff that are now freed up assure that some 100,000 visitors annually have a good time when they come to party, dance, cheerlead and play basketball and volleyball, among other activities.

Chad Mack heads up Mack Marketing and Public Relations in Seattle. Diverse activities and events staged on Pacific Northwest sports fields are key to delivering successes to his clients that include professional sports teams. Annually his staff gathers together Pacific Northwest businesses for soccer and networking at the Portland Timbers Community Cup. This event raises thousands of dollars for Portland YouthBuilders. This non-profit organization provides long-term support for over 200 low-income youth ages 17 to 24 through education, vocational training and leadership development services.

“Before we stumbled on WaiverSign, we struggled for years collecting signed waivers prior to playing on the field. This required a lot of manpower from the organizer and the players themselves. It’s a huge win. Now captains can even manage their own team waivers. I’m a huge fan,” underscores Mack.

PARSAC is short for Public Agency Risk Sharing Authority of California that administers waivers for 40 cities in this state. Think recreation center waivers for swimming, baseball, football, horseback riding, gym and gymnastics, etc. for both adults and kids. The Town of Yountville will be the first community to launch WaiverSign after the January 2019 sign-up.

What’s leading to this flurry of interest in WaiverSign?

In the nearly two decades since the Federal eSIGN act was passed into law in June 2000, companies have become comfortable with digital technology. Today they’re reaching out to see how this technology can help them grow.

“The travel industry is internet savvy. Now the recreation industry is beginning to see the benefits of presenting waivers digitally rather than on paper,” says Chip Broyles. He is Business Development Manager for Resmark Systems (www.resmarksystems.com/).

The benefits of going digital include immediate document retrieval, redundant and secure storage opportunities plus increased document integrity. Digital signature collection also means that companies can gather much more usable data simply because that data is readily accessible and typed and legible -- not hand-written.

Resmark Systems Designs New Platform Integrating Distribution, Marketing, Sales & Operations Into Single, Streamlined Application

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, Dec. 4, 2018 –A company that helps businesses manage digitally booked reservations for a panoply of leisure and lifestyle business clients launched the beta version of its newly streamlined platform this fall.

Resmark Systems’ newly designed platform will integrate four powerful distribution, marketing, sales and operations tools directly into a single application. The result? Rather than a quartet trying to play together from a distance, Resmark Systems will have a full symphony under one roof that leads clients to a standing ovation – every time – from their own guests.

“We’re constantly addressing the challenges of conducting business in the fast-paced world of the web,” said Chip Broyles, Business Development Manager for Resmark Systems. “It’s critical that no steps are missed from an initial website visit, to generating a lead, to following up automatically, to closing a sale, to communicating prior to an event, to collecting signatures (related to liability issues) and guest information and to posting trusted reviews.”

A key feature of this ramped up platform iscalled TrueConnect, which allows tour resellers to create their own network, tailoring their tour mix perfectly to their target customers within their unique region.

“TrueConnect is like becoming the Amazon of travel for any given part of the world. You can even customize tour marketing details and pricing via each distribution channel. The result? More sales of your tours and partner tours,” explained Broyles.

In use daily around the clock, Resmark Systems is hosted across multiple servers simultaneously, functioningas both a real-time backup and an automatic fail-safe environment. Should any server ever have an issue, a clone of that server will instantly take over, providing continuous availability to both sales agents and online guests. Because the company has earned a reputation for reliable and dependable service, it has a proven track record of serving some of the biggest tour companies in the world with critical needs that vary from tour to tour.

“Our solutions provide hundreds of elements that can be customized, from dynamic inventory settings, user-defined payment requirements, customized labels and data collection fields, personalized reports, to unlimited lead forms and waiver document templates. The end result is that clients using our flexible tour booking software can run their customer-driven tour and leisure businesses as they see fit,” said Broyles.”

Research shows that companies that have upgraded to Resmark convert 50 to 200 percent more leads than prior to using the system. Its digital liability waiver process called WaiverSign helps eliminate human error and paperwork as it speeds up the process of securing signatures on liability waivers from clients.

"We had a 68.3% increase in online tour sales in the first year using the Resmark reservation system. Choosing this system has been one of the best decisions we've ever made!" Sutton Bacon, CEO of Nantahala Outdoor Center.

For more information and to request early access to the newest version of Resmark, visit http://www.resmarksystems.com/ or call 888.RESMARK (737.6275).
