MOAB, UT, April 13, 2021 – Moab Adventure Center anticipates breaking visitor records when it comes to servicing recreational groups this upcoming season. This coincides with pent-up vacation demand from the pandemic-weary public.
As of early spring, Moab Adventure Center reports that queries from group travel planners are running strong, recognizing the finely tuned trip safety protocols and leadership skills its staff and guides bring to the table.
“When our team plans for and then escorts a group, we free up group leaders to focus on the needs of individuals in their group. We expect to see over-exuberance on full display after months of pandemic-related constraints,” predicts Lecy Gillespie, Reservations Manager for Moab Adventure Center.
Setting the stage for guests to tackle new experiences and move outside of their comfort zones creates what Gillespie dubs “Moab Magic.” One example is canyoneering. “Many of our guests have said they felt this magic while surrounded by people who care about them and who are cheering for them. Our Moab Canyoneering Adventure includes beautiful hiking and an empowering adrenaline rush as our guides help you rappel down a 90' cliff face and then a 120' cliff, part of which is a free-hanging rappel.”
Another new adventure can be rafting in Moab, Moab Adventure Center’s most popular group trip.
“The river is the best place to be during the hot summer months and truly becomes an oasis after time spent hiking and exploring,” adds Gillespie. Offering multiple full and half-day trip options, the company has added guides, equipment and launches to accommodate the expected increase in demand in 2021.
“And one of our best-loved adventures is a Hummer Safari on the technical Hell's Revenge trail. You can choose where to sit in the Hummer to determine the thrill level of the trip. If you are a bit uneasy around heights or feel nervous at all, the passenger seat or middle row is for you! If you're looking for a thrilling slow-moving rollercoaster ride, the back row is the place you'll want to be!”
Gillespie encourages group leaders to firm up the planning process for a trip to Moab as soon as possible. A helpful web page (https://www.moabadventurecenter.com/group-tours) guides group leaders through the step-by-step process of what they need to do and outlines what services Moab Adventure Center offers. Once a group makes a reservation, a 25% deposit confirms the booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to the trip departure date. A simple online waiver system, WaiverSign, offers fast, contactless signing. Pricing has also been revamped to make it more affordable for non-profit, corporate and family groups.
