Sports Tours International’s Comprehensive VIP Packages Access La Vuelta a España – The Final Grand Tour Cycling Event of 2017

MANCHESTER, UK, July 11, 2017– The world’s cycling elite are already focused on late summer’s final Grand Tour cycling event, 2017 La Vuelta a España. Arranging VIP ringside access and vacation programs for this event is the UK company, Sports Tours International. This 72nd edition of the Vuelta begins in Nîmes, a city in southern France, on Aug. 19, 2017, and ends in Madrid on Sept. 10, 2017.

Last year’s 2016 Vuelta a España was a nail-biting duel to the very end between Nairo Quintana and Chris Froome. Despite pulling back an enormous amount of time in the time trial, Quintana held Froome off in the final stage, becoming the first Colombian to win the race since 1987. Froome is a top contender in this summer’s Tour de France (he’s won it three times), as is Quintana, said to be in his best training form yet. This all presages the excitement of what’s to come in Spain.

As an officially sanctioned tour operator for this event, Sports Tours International (www.sportstoursinternational.com/) does all of the vacation packaging legwork for cycling devotees who want to view one of the world’s most demanding – and if 2017 holds true to 2016, dramatic – cycling and running events.

“These cycling events never lack drama, and it’s a sure bet that the final hours of this endurance contest can pump up spectator adrenalin,” said Peter Morgan, company spokesperson. “With Sports Tours International’s experienced staff on hand to guide our guests every step or pedal-stroke along the way, visiting spectators are at ease to enjoy the very best of what the 2017 Vuelta has to offer.”

Guests travel in small groups and enjoy while on tour; accommodation, breakfast, lunch and evening meals, together with the official 2017 Vuelta road book and a special Sports Tours International cycling jersey made by Santini. Each tour incorporates three amazing elements, including exclusive access to the Start Village, riding on the stage route and crossing the official finish line as well as finish line hospitality. VIP hospitality affords access not available to the general public such as grandstand seating at the final stage of the tour. Clients can even take a ‘cross the finish line’ experience, riding on the stage route three hours ahead of the peloton, before crossing the finish line in front of cheering cycling fans. They can then stand on the Winner’s podium for photos and their own slice of Vuelta history. Following are weeklong and shorter programs.
